“I believe that all women can have a better birth with good education about their options and a supportive provider who respects them.”
We are located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. We serve the Chicago southside, as well as the southern and southwestern suburbs. We have a lot of very wonderful doulas, but I wish we had the option for VBAC in birth centers.

Why get involved in ICAN?
I found ICAN through a Google search when I was looking for support groups after my c-section. I loved the support and sense of community I felt when I attended my first meeting. I am looking forward to supporting other women in their c-section recovery. I wish more people knew that ICAN existed!

Please share a little about yourself!
I am an attorney, wife, and mother. I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and cooking. My friends would say that I’m kind and caring and enjoy helping others. My first daughter was a c-section in 2012 at 36w4d due to breech presentation and maternal pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome. My second daughter was a hospital VBAC at 40w1d with a healthy mama. I am expecting my third daughter and planning another hospital VBAC.
.
Welcome, Jamie! We’re excited to see all you do in your community!
