ICAN is excited to announce Andrea Moonen as our newest Chapter Leader!

“I’m excited to create a space where moms know they have the power to choose the best birthing options for themselves. I also enjoy meeting in person and supporting each other wherever we may be in our process.” Andrea Moonen, ICAN of the Twin Cities

Please tell us a little about yourself.

I have been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for the last 12 years as an Acupuncturist. I am currently training and learning to facilitate Dynamic Body Balancing (a path that was created by my birth experiences and as a healer). I have also self studied Aromatherapy and Homeopathy. I am a wife to a great man and father have 4 beautiful boys! My first two sons were born via cesarean for different reasons and my last two were VBAC2C. I had the honor of experiencing a home birth with my fourth!

How did you find out about ICAN?

I was pregnant with my 3rd and was looking at options to have a VBAC2C and found a midwife who then recommend I attend a local ICAN meeting.

What do you wish other people knew about ICAN?

I wish more people knew that it exists! I would love to increase our presence in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.

When does your chapter meet?

Our monthly meetings are held the 2nd Monday of every month from 6:30-8:30pm at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1720 E. Minnehaha Pkwy, Minneapolis. Monday October 8th is the next one.

Congratulations, Andrea!
