Dea Revania is ICAN’s July Volunteer of the Month!
Dea is the Chapter Leader of ICAN of Indonesia.
How did you find out about ICAN?
I found out about ICAN through a Childbirth Educator workshop. They said if you need info about VBAC, you can visit the ICAN website.
What motivates you as a volunteer?
I have had three VBACs after two cesareans and I want other mothers to have the chance to at least try for VBAC.
Do you have any other passions or professions outside of ICAN?
Yes, I am a doula and a Childbirth Educator.
What was your proudest moment as an ICAN volunteer? What about your hardest?
I’m very proud be part of ICAN because I can spread knowledge about VBAC around the community and help them to try to VBAC with support and confidence. The hardest thing is I’m in a big country, and I can’t always be there for them for support when they need me. I would love a team here in Indonesia so wherever the moms are can always have someone to support them.
Thank you for your continued dedication, Dea!
We appreciate everything you do for ICAN, and for the community!
